TWO-DIMENSIONAL OBJECT DESIGNED BY USING CUBIC TRIGONOMETRIC B-SPLINE METHOD

Abstract

In dealing with curves and surfaces of shapes, Computer-Aided Geometric Design (CAGD) is an application used widely in numerous fields such as medical, automotive, aerospace and shipbuilding. B-Splines play major roles in developing these curves in CAGD works for any kind of two-dimensional or three-dimensional shape. Lately, few computer designers come out with many kinds of methods. Hence, in this research, Cubic Trigonometric (CT) B-Spline is present in designing two-dimensional cartoon’s character shape to show the effectiveness and uniqueness of the method. So, computer designers can make difference and have the best method in generating the curves. Some findings in this research are made from a few aspects such as best control points used, behaviour of the curves and modification of control polygons.
