FINDING MULTIPLE ROOTS OF NONLINEAR EQUATION USING VARIETY OF TWO-STEP METHOD
Abstract
Another way to deal with multiple roots of nonlinear equations was created, which were
not well resolved by other methods. Newton’s method is a fundamental and significant
method that use to finding multiple roots. This research presents a variety of two-step
methods as another adjustment of Newton’s method for finding multiple roots of
nonlinear equations with unidentified multiplicity m. A few examples were given to show
the efficiency of the new methods using Schroder’s method, Halley’s method, Dong
method and Li et al. (2009) method. The method is particularly suitable for finding
multiple roots of nonlinear equations and to give comparison which method is the best.
